Once you have completed this orientation, our Volunteer and Engagement Manager will contact you by email regarding any next steps including required background checks or training, and an initial schedule for volunteering.
How do I know when I volunteer?
Your volunteer schedule will be determined according to your availability and the needs of Family Service. Scheduling varies by program. A Sign-Up Genius link is emailed monthly to all shelter and food pantry volunteers. Other volunteers will determine their schedule with their site supervisor and discuss needed changes with that person.
Signing In
Most volunteers sign in when they arrive at their volunteer work location and sign out when they leave. Ask your site supervisor for the sign in location at your site.
