Located in New Hope, PA, Bucks Villa provides Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) for individuals experiencing homelessness who meet eligibility criteria established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Through this vital program, we offer much more than a spacious dwelling with services. The group home design, staffing, program values, and personal interaction all combine to create a program that helps residents succeed over the long term.
Each resident has their own service plan which is personally tailored, flexible, and holistic. Because Bucks Villa is managed by Family Service Association of Bucks County (Family Service), the individualized service plan ensures that our highly skilled and dedicated staff, in conjunction with partnering agencies and resources, can effectively address the unique needs of each resident as needed. In doing so, we are able to support their successful transition from homelessness to stable, permanent and supportive housing, while promoting their overall well-being and self-sufficiency.

The Villa
Bucks Villa is a beautiful, private group home in New Hope, Pennsylvania, within walking distance to the vibrant downtown business district. The facility has eight single-occupancy units. Each unit has subsidized rent, a private bath, and is comfortably furnished. Shared spaces include a den and kitchen.
The Neighborhood
Located in a residential neighborhood of New Hope, the area is ideal for those who enjoy the arts and the outdoors. The following amenities are within walking distance of the Villa:

Eligibility
All applicants must:
- Have a qualifying disability, as defined by HUD under 24 CFR § 891.305
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be in need of housing, with no other reliable housing option available
- Be suffering through ‘chronic homelessness’ as defined by HUD
- Be able and willing to assume responsibility for independent living, including self-care
- Be able and willing to participate in group activities that promote mutual support and shared household responsibility
In addition, applicants must also:
- Complete and submit a formal housing application
- Meet current HUD income eligibility requirements
- Agree to pay rent based on a HUD-approved income formula
- Provide a valid Social Security number

Referral & Selection Process
- Applicants are referred through the Coordinated Entry (CoC) system, when applicable.
- Eligible applicants are reviewed during a monthly case conference to ensure fair and consistent selection practices.
- Final lease and permanent residency are based on eligibility verification, program fit, and unit availability.
